Mother Nature makes it two in a row at Clinton County

Mackeyville, PA – In the world of racing there is a vast amount of unpredictability. Lately, nothing has been more unpredictable than the weather. With a steady rain falling throughout the day and a forecast to continue during the night, track promoter Vern Wasson had no option other than to pull the plug for the second straight week at Clinton County Raceway. These last two weeks have been a tough pill to swallow for Wasson, as he is never one to give in to mother nature easily.

Since this was going to be the debut for many of the area’s Late Models, any team looking to get some track time is welcome back over the next two weeks for practice. Cars showing up will be given ample laps so they can shake down their rides in anticipation of their next schedule event.

Clinton County Raceway will be back in action Friday, May 23rd with a regular scheduled program of Shore Auto Parts Sprint Cars, A&A Auto Parts Pro-Stocks, along with Randy’s Auto Repair Front Wheel Drive 4-Cylinder division. This will also be the first of three scheduled Camera and Autograph nights so be sure to pack the camera and head to the track early. Gates open at 5pm with racing starting at 7:30.
