Late Models take center stage at Clinton County

Mackeyville, PA – Friday, May 16th will see the full-blown Late Models make their 2008 season debut at the 1/3-mile clay oval. This will be the first of eight appearances for the full fendered machines as many of the top pilots will do battle for the $1000 payday. Signing on as the class sponsor is the local branch of Justice Brothers Inc. led by Tom Petro. The Justice Brothers is a nationally recognized company, with a whole assortment of car care products and additives that make your car look and run better.

Last years track champ Jeremy Ohl is expected to be back to defend his 2007 track title in his sharp looking #5 machine. Winning the title this year won’t be an easy task as many heavy hitters look to rise to the challenge. If practice is any indication of what to expect there should be some fast paced, side-by-side racing as many cars showed up to shake down their new iron chariots.

Also on the card for the event will be the A&A Auto Parts Pro-Stocks, Ron Enders and Son’s 270 Micro Sprints, and Randy’s Auto Repair FWD 4-cylinders. Gates will open at 5pm with racing to start at 7:30. Adult general admission is only $10. Clinton County Raceway is located near the route 80 and route 220 interchange in Mackeyville, PA.
